NIKE FOOTBALL HITS SANDTON

The much anticipated Nike Football store opened it’s doors to the public on the 4th of March 2010. We had our main man, Ayanda report what went down with Jean Rene Onyangunga taking pictures.

Yesterday it went down heavy at the new Nike Football store in Sandton when 20 Football Obsessed Teens were treated rock star style to a tour of the space.

Football’s big guns of yesteryear and today made an appearance to set the inspiration flames alight within the lads. Roger De Sa, Tebogo Moloi, Elsa Storm and Shaun Bartlett welcomed the boys in a penthouse big pimping style then later headed over to the store.

Nike Sportswear has a section of its own in the store and on the day it was well represented by yours truly, AD85, letting the kids know what the ( True Colours ) Nunca and James Jarvis collaborations and the Brasil Black Pack were.

Hearts came to a stop when Robert Marawa came into the store along with his bass voice. As if that wasn’t enough to have the kids smiling, Sundowns’ Brian ‘Spider’ Baloyi  (with a patch on the neck), Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi, Siboniso Gaxa and Robyn Johannes followed shortly.

Speechless would not begin to describe the state the kids were in. One thing is for sure though that they walked away filled with lots of Nike knowledge, experience and inspiration too much for their gift bags to hold.

SENCITY IN JOZI

One of the freshest shows from the Dutch foundation, Skyway, hits town on the 19th of March 2010. A music event for the deaf and hearing peeps alike, the show will be transformed into a ” senses-stimulating arena”. The emotions and message of live and dance music are converted into as many senses as possible for the deaf attendees, to give an idea of what music must be like to hearing audiences, and vice versa.
